Kristin Roberts has received an eclectic mix of continuing education through the years including family therapy,adolescent issues, bipolar disorder, anxiety and pain management, stress management with focus on relaxation techniques, Voice Dialogue, visualization and imagery, eating disorders, and women’s issues.

Her Newport time includes community work and for ten years, Kristin facilitated Project Resolve, a violence prevention program in the Cocke County High Schools. Her work in the Cocke County High Schools included teaching conflict resolution, healthy relationships and anger management. Ms. Roberts also served as an active member (20 years) and chairperson of the Cocke County Health Council for (5 years), and served on the Cocke County Leadership Board for three years. She facilitated Youth Leadership Class at Cosby High School for 3 years and was instrumental in developing a class for credit.

On a personal note, she lives with her husband of 33 years in Cosby Tennessee, her home for 36 years - always surrounded by a family of pets - mostly 'rescues'.  She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Her areas of interest include completing the 900 miles of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park!, kayaking, biking, and organic gardening.
